Browser Testing
Test out your virtual device using a web browser
One of the easiest ways to get started with TelemetryTV is by testing out a virtual device using a web browser. This allows you to explore the platform's capabilities before setting up your own hardware device and can also serve as a convenient tool for ongoing testing on your desktop.
Accessing the Virtual Device
To access the virtual device, navigate to https://player.telemetrytv.com using any modern web browser. This loads our Progressive Web Application (PWA), which simulates the experience of a TelemetryTV device within your browser.
Setting Up and Testing
- Once the PWA loads, it displays a Pairing code.
- Log in to your TelemetryTV account and navigate to the Devices tab
- Click Pair, entering the code displayed on the device.
With the virtual device connected to your account, you can now begin to test and preview your content, playlists, and apps—just as if you were using a physical device.
This browser-based approach is particularly useful for testing new content or apps, adjusting settings, or training team members on the use of TelemetryTV. The changes you make here can be seen in real-time, making it an effective tool for immediate feedback and iteration.
By testing TelemetryTV using a virtual device, you can explore the full range of features and capabilities before deploying your own hardware. This approach ensures you're comfortable and confident with the platform, setting the stage for a successful digital signage operation.
