Features and Changes

  1. Non-Blocking Severe Weather Alerts [ENG-867] - CAP Trigger overrides can now be set to Non-Blocking, so severe weather alerts display inside the Weather app instead of taking over the screen. Surrounding playlist content keeps playing.

    1. Note: The page must contain a Weather app for the alert to render.

  2. Scrolling Ticker Display for Weather Alerts [ENG-4574] - Non-blocking CAP alerts can now render as a scrolling ticker band, resizing the weather content rather than covering it. A new Ticker Position setting (Top or Bottom, default Bottom) accommodates different screen layouts.

    1. Applies to Alert, Info, and Message override types. Website and Web Image types keep the existing full-zone behavior.

Fixes

  1. Playlist Overlays No Longer Cover Ad Content [ENG-2802] - Playlist overlays (page title, image, and logo) are now suppressed on Ad Slot pages, where they previously obscured VAST and programmatic ad content. Overlays behave normally on all other playlist pages.
